This team is establishing the ground floor for advanced Data Science and AI enabled financial interactions and transactions. In this role, Senior Data Engineers will be innovating around data products, data movement, and model pipelines that are at the core of financial interactions. Finicity’s solutions provide Intelligence and real-time access to Financial data.

What you will do:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will take lead on empowering consumers and creating business value. You will own business objectives and will work to deploy solutions to Financial Institutions, FinTech Companies, Small and Medium Businesses, Large Enterprises, Consumers and even Government Agencies. This particular role’s primary focus is creating and enhancing the next generation of Data Science micro services with client, streaming and APIs for Finicity’s Solutions as a service, including Finicity Lend, Entity Resolution, Attribute Creation and Temporal Analysis.

Key Qualifications

Ideally, Senior Data Engineers have deep technical and financial domain expertise. Specific domains include Credit/Risk Scores, Decision Science in Lending, and a suite of services for Financial Institutions and FinTechs. Finicity enables consumers to interact with their Financial data and transact in refined and innovative ways.

• Master's Degree or higher in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field of study required.
• 5+ years commercial production experience with data science teams. Combinations of Software and traditional database experience may be considered with sufficient ML deployment experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Containers, Docker, REST APIs, Flask, GraphQL, Event Streams or other modern delivery mechanism required.
• A strong understanding of data movement and data structures/schemas/models is required.
• Senior level Python, Go, and/or JavaScript (node, react) coding experience required.
• Two or more software development languages and tech stacks.
• Experience with Web Servers, Load Balancers/Round Robin and web technologies
• Kafka, Kinesis, Beam, NiFi, Data Flow, KubeFlow, RabbitMQ, MQTT, AMQP and other message stream like technologies and protocols
• Excellent written and oral communication skills on technical & non-technical topics.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with creating hosted, API, or event stream Data Science algo/model production with applicability to finance, FinTech and scoring
• Senior Level Software Development, Data Engineering or Data Science Programming is highly desired.
• Advanced Data Ingress and Egress techniques (ETL/ELT)
• Advanced Data Modeling, Querying, Structuring, Architecture and Design skills
• Real-Time or Near Real-Time Architecture and Development Experience preferred
• Exposure to risk evaluation, credit risk modeling
• Additional Finance and FinTech Experience
