Data Engineer - Piedmont Community Health Plan
Job Description:
The Data Engineer PCHP will define, plan, and implement PCHP’s data strategy. The Data Engineer will work to develop solutions that provide data to the organization by interfacing with users to define data needs, design, implement, and support data models and ETLs.
Qualifications/Education/Licensure:
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Business Information Management, Business Administration, Mathematics/Statistics, Health Administration or Computer Science OR 5 - 10 years of experience in analytics and data modeling.
5+ years of data and information management experience including data modeling, warehousing, processing (including ETL) and management.
Knowledge of Corporate Enterprise solutions that comprise the data infrastructure.
Development or maintenance experience as a programmer utilizing one or more of the following tools is required: SQL (databases – Netezza, Oracle, SQL Server)
Knowledge of CorePoint Informatica (ETL Software) SAS, VBScript/PowerShell, Visual Basic, Microsoft SSRS Excel, Access, Crystal Reporting
Demonstrated ability to drive results to completion, while managing multiple projects and priorities.
Knowledge of managed care/health insurance
Knowledge of Plan systems, applications and databases and their underlying data structures, including but not limited to: claims, eligibility, premium, clinical, sales.
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle process
Ability to lead projects and teams relevant to assignments.
Knowledge of HIPAA and Security standards.
Knowledge of Claims and Case management solutions in a payer environment.
