Cloud Data Engineer

Our client, one of the largest Amazon Web Services (AWS) partners for data services, is looking for a experienced Cloud Data Engineer to contribute to join their team of technologists to build and contribute to large-scale, innovative projects. • 100% Remote Work.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees and or assists with creating complex queries, complex technical programming, and complex applications.
• Interact with business and technologies peers Interpret business data and data access requirements.
• Provide appropriate estimates on development tasks and capacity requirements Complete source to target mappings.
• Make use of Amazon Web Services to delivery services.
• Develop, code, test, and implement data solutions according to business requirements.
• Perform related SDLC engineering activities like sprint planning and estimation.
• Work effectively in small agile teams.
• Provide creative solutions to problems.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and execute.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of proven professional experience working in the IT industry.
• Strong knowledge in relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Extensive knowledge in SQL coding. Proven work experience in ETL.
• Degree in Computer Science or related domains.
• AWS experience is required - EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, AWS Glue, Kinesis and Redshift, etc.
• Ability to analyze a company’s big-picture data needs.
• Experience with one or more programming languages like Scala, Python, and/or Java.
• Clear communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
• Create data models that illustrate relationships between tables and other database objects.
• Create and document constraints that ensure integrity of data.
• Create queries that are efficient with an emphasis on performance.
• Ability to push the frontier of technology and independently pursue better alternatives.
