We have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer, to join us on a permanent basis.
At Arcus we identify that technology is a central pillar to the wider corporate strategy. We are currently reviewing and engaging in a wide-ranging business transformation project to streamline and simplify our systems.
- Leading the project with respect to delivering a new data strategy and architecture within Arcus.
- Designing and implementing an effective data strategy and data governance policy, that is compliant with relevant regulations, and evolve these in line with business changes
- Implementing the technical services to deliver ETL services to the business
- Leading and championing data compliance, data governance and data operational processes, including best practice MI / BI and reporting.
- Transformation of reporting / Business Intelligence / Management Information and Data governance
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and customers to engage the business in transforming its data services.
- Relevant degree or experience.
- Significant experience of developing and delivering ETL processes to underpin the data strategy, ideally utilising Azure Data Factory.
- Experience gained of delivering data strategy, data governance, operational data processes and MI/ reporting / Business Intelligence and analytics.
- Experience in development and management of data related projects.
- Significant experience in SQL Server, MySQL, and database administration.
- Experience in database/ datamart / data warehouse development
Specific qualifications
- SQL Server, MySQL, and database administration.
- BI and report builder technology; Ideally PowerBI and SQL Server Self-Service Reporting Services

- Utilising cloud-based data service; ideally Microsoft Azure and AWS

Reporting directly into the Data Transformation Project Manager, you’ll be working within the MI team. This is a 40hr Mon - Fri hybrid role working between 2-3 days in the office, with a degree of flexibility due to business requirements.

- Salary: up to £45k dependent on experience.
