THE COMPANY
Humans globally face unseen challenges while transforming their businesses. Competing in a digital and borderless economy is complex and the pace of change keeps increasing. The inter-dependencies and exponential behavior of cause-impact relations are growing. It’s getting harder to decide and navigate between things that actually have an impact. That’s why we’re building Field33.
Our mission is to help people deepen their understanding and impact on organizations. Combining empirically proven success factors and local data into specific multi-dimensional graphs to model the entire complex for relatable actions at fingertips. We enable organizations to tap into an ecosystem of domain experts and researchers applying knowledge in real-time. We strongly believe in the diversity of organizations and therefore also in that of our team being able to holistically master the challenges we will face.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Chief Data Scientist (f/m/x), who will help us build a new future for organizational data, as part of a strong founder team that provides a new approach at the intersection of domain expertise and Software 2.0. Alongside your experience working in cross-functional teams, you still love to roll up your sleeves and work hands-on to intertwine data domain knowledge and ontologies as thoroughly as possible.
The role can be based in Berlin or Stuttgart/Tübingen (Cyber Valley).
WHAT IS WAITING FOR YOU
- Your data science and research skillset, and “can-do” attitude are mission-critical to successfully lead our company to the next level. Your first months will include understanding our proven methodology, technology approach and existing ontologies as well as enriching those fields with your experience and knowledge. You will define our approach towards quantitative analysis in sparse environments, reasoning, machine learning and econometrics.
- Shaping our enterprise meta-model as well as extending our approach with battle-proven ML applications will be your main duty as a CDS (f/m/x). Software 2.0, knowledge graphs, sparse environments, convolutional neural nets, graph science are more than buzzwords for you. This reaches from optimizing inference, correlation algorithms towards involving the academic community in our learning journey.
- You are fully in charge of the data science and research environment as well as the deployment of AI applications.
- You will build an outstanding team of data scientists, engineers, researchers and visualization experts.
- You grow in your role and personally while working with experienced start-up founders and company builders for corporate environments.
- Together with your team and your co-founders, you will extend Field 33 to a global standard that will disrupt the way organizations function and how they keep up with fast-paced transformations.
BENEFITS
- Flexible hours and a dedicated remote budget
- 1.000 Euros personal development fund & 6 paid education days to help you grow within your role
- 29+1 days paid holiday per year
- Good tech you need to do your job
- Regular (remote) team events, as well as regular (remote) social events
- Founder Shares
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- To be the perfect addition to our team as Co-Founder (f/m/x), you have 4+ years of experience working as data scientist or a comparable fast-paced AI environment in both start-ups and companies at a larger scale or the academic world.
- You are a data science and quantitative analysis enthusiast with a great vision of how to translate complex, often sparse data into brilliantly scalable graph environments for ML.
- You know how to set up a constantly growing environment to manage model maturity and your academic track record resonates well in the data science community.
- Knowledge of inferential statistics, especially in an experimentation setting (hypothesis testing, power analysis, experimental design) + experience in communicating the results of analyses with engineering and product teams to influence the strategy of the company
- Deep knowledge about how to develop and deploy ML applications in modern frameworks and ML platforms like Tensorflow, Metaflow and graph DBs + tooling environments in general.
- From the first hypothesis to deployment, you have handled all tasks operationally. Team/ developer experience and improving productivity are always at the top of your mind.
- Ideally, you have previous experience or a strong interest in data design and visualization around organizational complexity, econometrics, complexity modeling frameworks, knowledge graphs, transaction theory, causality, as well as high- and low-level programming languages like Python, Java, C#, or Rust.
- Ideally, you have built/ founded companies before and you know your game plan already. You are a curious leader combining your natural gravitas with strong analytical and great communication skills.
