The project and the team

The goal of the project is to build a platform to support the business decision process by generating specialized reports on companies and their competitors. The platform aggregates multiple Internet data sources and leverages ML to generate insights and make them actionable.

What else you should know:

  • The team currently consists of around 15 people including Java, Python, and UI developers, data engineers, data scientists, DevOps, an architect, and project manager.
  • We use SCRUM/Agile methodology and work closely with the Product Owner on the client’s side.
  • Our tech stack includes Python3, Flask, Pandas, NumPy, Java 11, Spring, AWS, Nginx, Kubernetes stack.
  • The client is based in the EU.

We work on multiple interesting projects at the time, so it may happen that we’ll invite you to the interview for another project, if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.

Your role

As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:
  • Preparing proof-of-concepts for new ML models or improving existing ones
  • Building algorithms for sentiment analysis which includes scoring product reviews and calculating trends for various industries
  • Working closely with the data architect and engineers on database schemas to make data easily consumable
  • Working closely with DevOps engineers to integrate ML models into the pipeline and deploy them in a cloud environment
  • Documenting models and the training process
  • Transforming the PoC into a production-ready feature
  • Validating the solution with the Product Owner and end-users

Do we have a match?

As a Data Scientist you must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience with deep learning and NLP / NLU
  • The ability to apply machine learning to real-life problems
  • Good knowledge of machine learning techniques
  • Experience in feature engineering and hyperparameter tuning
  • Practical knowledge of machine learning tools (e.g. TensorFlow / PyTorch / scikit-learn)
  • The ability to share your knowledge
  • A willingness to learn continuously
  • Good knowledge of Python3
  • Good working knowledge of English (at least B2 level)

Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with the RoBERTa model
  • Experience in data visualization
  • Experience in productionizing ML solutions
  • Experience in using machine learning on big data
