Job Description


We are looking for a Principal Data Engineer to join our growing analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams in the Engineering Organization. You will support our software developers and product management teams on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects.

The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. You must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain optimal data architectures.
  • Focus on Quality Analytics (Mean Time between Failures, Mean Time to Crash, Mean Time to Hang, and other quality metrics).
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into product quality and other key performance metrics.
  • Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning, and statistical methods.
  • Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
  • Find hidden patterns using data.
  • Deliver updates to stakeholders based on analytics.

Qualifications


REQUIRED:

  • 5+ years working as Data Engineer focusing on Quality and Product Analytics.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field is required.
  • Strong analytic skills.
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
