Job Summary:The Data Analyst will facilitate and lead assigned projects by performing analytics and acting as a liaison between users and CTO on the data infrastructure and reporting needs, proposing and implementing scalable data reporting infrastructure and evaluating, producing, and refining dashboards and reports.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Collaborates with business staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology.
Determines how changes to the project will affect the business and systems.
Provides recommendations regarding the evolution of the data system.
Responds to inquiries and provides advice to the client regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs.
Identifies plans and timeframes, ensuring that data transformation meets anticipated result.
Satisfies data sampling, project analysis, testing verification, and other user requests from existing client databases.
Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
Commissioning sand decommissioning of data sets.
Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
Training end-users on new reports and dashboards.
Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
Requirements
Required Skills / Abilities:
Proficient in SQL, Python, R, and similar data related programming languages
Experiences working with NoSQL databases and big data infrastructure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.
Excellent management skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, motivate, and organize.
Ability to adapt to change.
Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
Ability to handle differing stakeholders
Ability to act as a team player. Education and Experience:
