Real Time Market Data Engineer

My banking client based in London require a Real Time Market Data Engineer to help deliver on an exciting project. Working with the Global Market Data Platform Team, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of the global Market Data Infrastructure upgrade and re-platforming of the NatWest Real-time Market Data System (RTDS), whilst assisting the team with the ongoing Operations of the Real-Time Market Data Platform.Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting with the delivery of the Hardware, OS and Infrastructure upgrade of the Global Market Data Distribution PlatformSupporting Application Migrations2nd/3rd Line support for Applications and End Users of Global Market Data Distribution Platform (Refinitiv RTDS)2nd/3rd Line support of Vendor and Direct Market Data Feeds (Inc. Elektron, BPIPE, Direct Exchange and Broker Feeds)Engineering and Management of Platform Monitoring and Capacity ToolingDetailed problem analysis and fault-findingMaintaining up-to-date system documentationExperience/SkillsExperience of working within a Real Time Market Data Technology RoleExperience of Refinitiv RTDS (ADH, ADS, DACS etc)Experience of Vendor Aggregate Data Feeds (Refinitiv Elektron, BBG BPIPE)Experience of Direct Exchange and Broker FeedsExperience of working within a Production Governance Framework (Change/ Incident Management processes)Networking Knowledge – Including routing, firewalls, and network translationsExperience of Instrumentation and Monitoring TechnologiesExperience of ScriptingProven Project DeliveryPersonal AttributesAdvanced analytical, communication [written & verbal] skillsExcellent organisational skills with proven ability to act independently with excellent decision-making skills, work well under pressure and handle multiple projects and initiatives at the same timeStrong problem-solving skills - ability to quickly analyse problems, understand and implement solutions.Innovative thinking – ability to design intuitively and react appropriately to ever-changing business needs.Willingness to learn rapidly in an ever-changing environment
