Data Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Engineer to join a Health Technology company located in Durham, NC. The Data Engineer will contribute toward a data driven, and solution-oriented engineering team. This is a direct placement, Hybrid opportunity.

Responsibilities of the Data Engineer include:

• Develop complex data pipelines to support researchers
• Utilize Spark, Scala, and Python
• Responsible for collaborating with similar teams

Qualifications for the Data Engineer include:

• 3+ years of Python and/or Java, Scala, SQL and Apache Spark
• 2+ years working in AWS or Google Cloud
• Experience working with healthcare data and building complex data pipelines
• Kafka, ElasticSearch and RabbitMQ experience is a bonus

Compensation for the Data Engineer include

• Salary: $130,000-$150,000 **depending on experience**
