KLDiscovery, one of the largest international eDiscovery providers, is currently seeking a Data Scientist. We're open to applications from across EMEA as this opportunity will be remote.
Within KLDiscovery, the primary role of the data science team is to enhance the company’s product offerings. This involves the utilization of data science and data engineering methodologies to inform decision making. The role includes the building of analytical tools; curation of data sets; conducting experiments; performing accurate impact estimates; developing, productizing and monitoring machine learning models; and helping to enhance the whole company’s data literacy and data driven decision making.
Role, Responsibilites & Duties
  • Provide expert analysis and advice to our product development team to help improve our product offering.
  • Collection, cleaning and curation of datasets using both public and internal sources.
  • Research and implement data science and data engineering best practices.
  • Creation and/or fine-tuning models to perform specific functions.
  • Working with engineering teams to productionize and monitor models.

Qualifications
  • Experience of using data science methodologies and technologies to solve business problems. As a minimum this should include Python, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Knowledge and hands-on expertise with Natural Language Processing (NLP) libraries and models is highly desirable.
  • Experience with the manipulation and curation of large datasets.
  • Experience of Data Engineering methods including ETL and data transfers.
  • Ideally familiar with SQL, C#, AWS, or Azure.
  • Legal/industry knowledge or experience is advantageous.
  • High degree of interpersonal sensitivity to allow building of relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously; identifies and presents solutions; confident decision-making ability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Degree (or higher) / equivalent qualification in a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subject is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
