My client is a global market leader within the Wealth Management/Private Banking industry. With major investments in Technology, they are hiring a newly created permanent position of a Senior Data Scientist. You will get the opportunity to work with some of the best technical and functional subject matter experts and this role will be an integral part of their expansion plans.

about the job

Working closely with the CDO, Head of Business Services and members of the Innovation lab, your role involves:

• Using predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes
• Performing data analysis, setup and delivery of key data projects. This involves working closely with the Front office, Marketing, compliance office, and other Wealth Management support teams to analyze needs and foster new apps
• Developing custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets and explore new technologies to strengthen the organization as a data driven company
• Crunching, analysing and investigating various kinds of data, across industries and use cases
• Exploring new machine learning algorithms, and apply them to real-world business applications
• Mining and analysing data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies

skills and experience required

As a successful candidate, you will have:

• At least 7 years of experience in statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
• Candidates from Wealth Management/Private Banking background preferred
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills (Advanced Statistics / Machine Learning / Deep Learning and associated tools Python and/or R) is highly advantageous
• Experience with SQL and any of these Business Intelligence tools is necessary (PowerBI / Tableau / Qlikview)
