The Financial Data Analyst monitors and maintains investment data for Clearwater’s clients. As content experts, FDAs advise internal and external constituents on the proper handling of critical data topics such as security master and reference data, asset classes, corporate actions, cash flows, analytics, pricing, amortization, performance, etc.
Responsibilities:
Responding quickly, accurately, and thoroughly to internal and external inquiries
Planning, designing, developing, and performing quality assessments on data elements
Leveraging manual and automated processes and procedures to validate data accuracy
Evaluating new and existing data vendors for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data
Serving as content expert in area of expertise
Advising product/development on ways to improve the quality of our data offering
Collaborating with clients and prospects to find innovative solutions to their data needs
Functional Knowledge and Contribution
Learns to use professional concepts and available resources i.e.: Clearwater Way, Outlook, Clearwater network, etc.
Develops professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. I.e.: reference data issues
Understands and can reference or explain the general workflow, tools, and Clearwater value proposition.
Builds own process documentation repository for basic workflows not covered in general SOP’s.
Adds value immediately and learns as much as possible as work is guided organically by JIRA queue and tasks.
Tasks run, investigated, and remediated daily.
JIRA case TAT is under 3 days (0-6 months)
JIRA case TAT is under 2 days (>6 months)
JIRA case reopen rate is under 3%.
JIRA case completion is proportional to the rest of the team after six months.
Communication
Adds value through quick, accurate, and thorough responses to inquiries. Acknowledges inquiries within an hour.
Beginner level SQL – runs pre-built queries, and gains general understanding of SQL fundamentals (modify selects and where clauses)
Supervision
Normally follows established procedures on work, requires instructions only on new issues.
