King makes great games that offer fun, bite-size entertainment experiences for everyone to enjoy! We have a new opportunity for an enthusiastic Backend/Data Engineer to work with the Machine Learning (ML) Data Sources team.

We are looking for a great teammate who wants to work with forming our new ML platform. Our team is the glue between the data warehouse and the training- deployment-team. You are eager to dig into technologies such as Python, BigQuery, Airflow, Kubernetes etc. We want a person that has knowledge in ML and knows the importance of data preparation and feature engineering for a ML project. You can generalize and see a common data solution from the incoming use-cases to ML Platform.

You will be joining a team that will work with simplifying the process of extracting data from the common data warehouse into ML ready features that will be used for training and deploying ML models.

Skills To Create Thrills

• Good understanding and hands-on experience with Python
• Knowledge in how to write services and applications
• SQL and query optimization skills and good understanding of data modeling techniques
• Google Cloud Platform including BigQuery or experience with other cloud computing provider
• Self-starter with a great drive and a curious and inquisitive mind-set
• Willing to step outside your comfort zone to broaden your skills and learn new technologies
• Highly collaborative work style and open to share your knowledge, receiving and giving feedback, performing code reviews and so on
• You will need to be able to work independently on complex problems and be able to clearly communicate your ideas and solutions.
  
  
  

• Experience with building ML pipelines
• Experience with ML concepts such as feature engineering, normalization, splits, etc
• Experience working with ML Feature stores
• Experience orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow
• Experience working with solutions of major public cloud providers, preferably Google Cloud.
• Knowledge with Google Dataproc, PySpark, Spark
• Knowledge in Java
• Containerizing workloads and running these on Kubernetes (GKE)
• Managing infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Automating builds, tests and deployments (Google Cloud Build)
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch or any other ML framework
