WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Knowledge of cleaning data and how to deal with imperfections in data, including defining corrective actions to improve quality if needed.
  • Knowledge of how to leverage large data sets in answering business questions.
  • Knowledge in large datasets and of data set processes for data modelling and data analytics.
  • Forecasting tools, predictive modeling, analytical programming language such as R, Python.
  • Mathematical & statistical background to support real data-driven business projects
  • Sound SQL knowledge
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate, network and build strong relations with team members and stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of Ecommerce
  • Business storytelling and communicating data insights in business consumable format.
  • Independent problem-solver, including an ability to self-learn new techniques/tools as needed
  • Good ability to communicate technical concepts and processes clearly at an appropriate level to a wide range of audiences, including team members, stakeholders, and D&A leadership.

Key previous experiences and proven skills

  • Formal qualifications (BSc, MSc, PhD) in computer science, econometrics, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a (Junior) Data Analyst or (Junior) Data Scientist
  • Extensive knowledge of data processing for large datasets
  • Familiarity with cloud computing environments, Azure, Azure Databricks, GCP

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leverage data assets by data collection and processing, to provide basis for day-to-day meaningful and actionable strategic and operational insights.
  • Support colleagues with problem solving for data quality issues from source systems and propose corrective actions for IT system or process improvements to step up data quality and timeliness over time.
  • Support in collecting and analysing business data to perform industry research and derive answers and insights on business questions, presented and reported through using various reporting tools.
  • Work to automate data cleaning processes, to be able to deliver insights to the business stakeholders on a periodical basis.
  • Support data driven decisions on product and strategy by helping to visualize data and enable change through knowledge of the business drivers that make the product successful.
  • Identify and help share trends and metrics from sources of raw data to increase efficiency of the organisation.
  • Apply good written and verbal communication skills in storytelling, supported by visualisation of data, primarily focused on stakeholders in advanced analytics.
  • Support junior colleagues with medium-scale modelling projects, focused on collecting and cleaning data, in processes that are able to adapt to changing attributes.
  • Work closely with other data analysts and across functions to help produce all required design specifications and ensure that data solutions work together and fulfill business needs.
  • Work across initiatives within INGKA Group, supporting steering towards data-driven solution.
