At El Toro, Data Analysts are vital contributors to the Research and Analytics Team where two days rarely look the same. Data Analysts will regularly participate in multiple projects at once. You will have close contact with sales, ad operations, development, and our management team. Often working directly with sales in a revenue-driven capacity to leverage your access to data and expertise to maximize active revenue opportunities. Over time, you will become a subject matter expert in El Toro data and derived data products.
One of the team’s core responsibilities is to analyze El Toro’s proprietary data and bring value to our customers, assisting our sales team with data-driven strategic recommendations on how to most effectively achieve client KPIs. In addition, we are at the forefront of analyzing new data and assisting in creating new products for our clients. Finally, the data analytics team helps analyze internal data sets to improve business processes.
As an AdTech company, incoming Data Analysts benefit from an understanding of the digital marketing industry, trends, and how other companies in the space operate (we understand that not everyone comes to us with this foundational knowledge and internal training is available). This knowledge-base helps bring valuable insights to the company and assists management with key decisions on improving existing processes.
This is a Full-Time (40 hours/week) position that is scheduled Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
Job Role and Responsibilities
  • Use analytical softwares like PowerBI to create targeted audiences and build analytics reports that address clients problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication (Both internal and client-facing)
  • Comfortable multitasking multiple projects at any given time.
  • Develop and improve current data processes and products.
  • Effectively communicate project results, successes, and concerns with internal stakeholders.
  • Showcase an ability to have a deep understanding of El Toro's products, proprietary datasets, and how they translate to clients' business needs.
  • Effectively analyze and visualize campaign performance.
  • Create, maintain and improve documentation on existing processes and products using Confluence and Jira.
  • Fulfill customer service requests.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's level degree in a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SQL, Python, or R
  • Data visualization tools (i.e. Power BI or Tableau)
  • Knowledge about Digital Marketing
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence (Atlassian products)
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics
