As we enter into our key phase of growth, we are looking for a highly driven data engineer that is, like the rest of the team, a perfect blend of technical capabilities and business focus. You will work on an exciting range of projects, use a variety of data tools, and have a direct impact on our clients’ products and customers. You will learn and grow with our team and our clients.

What You Will Do

This Is a Great Opportunity For Anyone Keen For Their Technical Expertise To Have a Direct Impact In An Organisation’s Performance Through Data. You Will Be Working With The Key Technologies In The Analytics Space To Deliver a Platform That Anyone On Our Clients’ Side Can Use To Make Data Driven Decisions. There Are No 2 Clients Alike But Here Are Some Of The Common Tasks

• Design modern data stacks based on our client’s current and future needs.
• Build custom data extractors from various 3rd party sources using Python.
• Support the analysis team with the data modelling effort and database design.
• Build CI/CD pipelines to ensure code and data quality..
• Monitor and optimise the data pipelines we deployed to provide the best balance of cost and performance for our clients.
• Contribute to our library of data engineering tools to improve the efficiency of the whole team.
• Research new technologies that can improve our processes.
  
  

Don’t worry if some of the above looks unfamiliar yet. You will be supported by some of the sharpest minds in data and analytics. If you are confident in 50% of them, we will help you grow to 100%!

Who You Are

• Experience & Education:
• A degree / master’s level education, ideally within a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, etc.
• Up to 2 years in a data engineering role or software engineering and keen to transfer to data engineering.
• Technical Skills:
• Excellent SQL skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux systems management.
• Good coding skills. Experience in Python is a plus.
• A good understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of git (or any other version control system).
• Knowledge of the main analytics databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, SQL Server) is a plus.
• Knowledge of the various open source and SaaS solutions available in the analytics ecosystem (e.g., Fivetran, Stitch, dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Looker) is a plus.
• Knowledge of event tracking technologies (e.g., Segment, Snowplow, GA4) is a plus.
• Collaboration:
• Ability to work well in collaborative environments and deliver in a timely fashion.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to communicate complex and technical topics in a simple manner.
• Other Skills:
• Strong ability and desire to learn. We work with a multitude of technologies and always strive to discover the next best solution that can benefit our clients.
