We're introducing an exciting role at Air Products. To support the experienced marketing team, we're looking for an analyst to help take us to the next level. We'll be focusing on customer trends and marketing outputs to optimise spend and increase optimisation from supply to customer. We're looking for a candidate who is looking to shape the role from scratch, utilising existing or new/recommended technology. Sitting within a global organisation, this individual will have the capability to work with like-minded individuals when required.
The market analyst is responsible for studying market conditions to assess the potential sales of products and services. The candidate will work with the business to understand crucial data points, analyse the trends and interpret the data to enable strategic direction.
Through analysis, the candidate will understand which factors reflect the needs of our customer base, to better identify product demand and most effective use of product.
As the Marketing Data Analyst you will:
- Compile and provide advanced information to support initiatives from business functions
- Coordinate the development of smart visualisations to display data of interest for each function
- Capture and maintain relevant market information and indexes from public databases
- Prepare reports on findings while illustrating data with graphs and translating complex results into written texts that are clear and understandable
- Gather information on competitors, and conduct analysis on their sales, prices and methods of distribution and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition
- Track and forecast trends in sales and marketing, and analyse in detail the data collected to provide management with thorough reports and results
- Collect and analyse data regarding customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demand
- Measure the effectiveness of advertising, marketing and communications strategies
- Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties research and implement best practices
You will have;

- Knowledge of advanced statistical models, graphs and databases
- Ability to distinguish between reliable and unreliable data
- Excellent attention to detail
- Understanding of data protection laws and policies
