Base Salary Range: $85,000-$115,000
Location: Kansas City, MO/Remote

Position Overview

We are looking for a solid Python engineer who has a statistical background and is interested in enhancing and upkeep of AutoAlert’s predictive analytics platform.

  • Perform data engineering and exploration to determine how customers engage our products
  • Deliver data-related objectives within the team
  • Help drive product vision/enhancement requests
  • Provide feedback to management regarding data-related technologies
  • Research and identify toolsets that complement our technology architecture
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Data Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience delivering solutions with relevant technologies
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Strong proficiency in Linux, command line tools, scripting
  • Strong proficiency with ETL/data transformations
  • Knowledge of noSQL, preferably ElasticSearch
  • Proficiency working with AWS services
  • Proficiency with MPPs, ideally AWS Redshift
  • Proficiency with RDBMS, ideally PostgreSQL and MSSQL
  • Proficiency with back-end application support
  • Proficiency with Data Warehousing design and implementation
  • Experience working with very large data sets
  • Experience working with horizontally scalable, distributed architectures
  • Experience with job scheduling in Airflow
  • Proven track record of product delivery
  • Expertise working with data in multiple database systems
  • Knowledge of Spark and programming languages Go, Rust, Scala, Java
