NATURE AND SCOPE:
Research & Analytics is a multidisciplinary team that is focused on connecting and improving school quality and learner environments to impact student, educator, and institutional outcomes through reliable and valid measurement and actionable reporting, supported by empirical research. As a member of this team, the Data Analyst will focus on generating data-driven insights to support strategic activities, lines of business, and empower staff to act through the use of data and visualizations.
The Data Analyst will serve as a subject-matter expert for visualization, contribute to evolving data management processes, and provide consulting and technical assistance to cross-functional partners, senior leadership, and education partners. Working with large data sets resulting from business processes as well as Cognia surveys, assessments, and services, the Data Analyst will employ statistical methods, database infrastructure, and visualization tools to tell stories about school improvement, learning environments, and student outcomes.
As a member of the Research & Analytics team, the Data Analyst will bring an entrepreneurial mentality, understanding that successfully untangling large, complex datasets requires collaboration and creative solutions. Under the supervision of the Manager, Analytics, this role will work closely with like-minded education researchers, Product Management, Global Services, Marketing, Finance, and Database Engineering.
