What You’ll Do:
You will be building and maintaining, data services, models, and underlying programs, that support front end applications. We are looking for a Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience building data services on varied databases such as MS SQL, Mongo, Graph DB, and good knowledge & experience of CI/CD best practices. You will be working with apps dev team, serving up operational workloads while keeping an eye on the future and how we can keep up with the company’s rapid growth.
What We’re Looking For:
Education
- Bachelors Degree in an engineering or technical field
Experience
- 5+ years experience with and detailed knowledge of relational, document, no sql and graph databases
- 3+ years experience with MS SQL and performance tuning/optimization
- Experience with no sql/document databases like mongo and graph db.
- Experience in relational database modeling concepts with a solid knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development lifecycle,
- including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Excellent communicator with a bias for writing things down
- Experience working in an agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience as a Data Engineer with a track record of manipulating, processing, and providing high performant data services.
- Experience building/operating highly available, performant data models.
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers for the best practices on the data engineering space
- Experience working with internal/external clients in the gathering of business requirements
