Job description

In-Depth Engineering seeks a Data Scientist/Artificial Intelligence Expert to analyze large amounts of raw information from the SWFTS C ombat system to find Patterns of Life (PoL) and detect anomalies. Applications for data analysis include tracking, acoustics, imagery, cyber security, and preventive maintenance.


The work will be performed in our Research and Development Lab in Columbia, MD.


Duties:

  • Define Data collection, ingestion and wrangling approaches
  • Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
  • Combine models through ensemble modeling
  • Present information using data visualization techniques
  • Collaborate with Navy product users

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S Citizen
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or another quantitative field is preferred
  • 4+ years of proven experience as a Data Scientist
  • Experience in data mining, artificial intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Knowledge of R, SQL, Python, Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
  • Experience with neural networks
  • Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain DoD secret clearance
