Data Scientist (m/v)
For our Innovation & Continuous Improvement Team (ICI Team) we are looking for a Data Scientist. Together with your colleagues you will find ways to further develop data-driven innovations. ICI Team is a new transversal, self-steered team with a direct reporting line to the COO. Since the current Artificial Intelligence solutions available within the company are all developed by a third party, you are at the beginning of a very interesting search to further improve the existing tools as well as suggest new solutions that could be deployed within the company. In addition, there is also a need for a fresh look at the use of data outside the AI-world and your expertise will be requested in various departments and projects.
Missions of the Team
- Product Development;
- Processes Digitalization & Optimization, including artificial intelligence & data analytics;
- Customer centricity initiatives;
- Project Management methodologies;
- Handling of the whole projects portfolio of the company (prioritization, reporting, ….);
- Optimization of existing services;
- Exploration of innovative ideas relating to today's and tomorrow's challenges.
- Provide advice and training about project methodologies;
- Keep abreast of technology trends and developments.
Specific Tasks within the Team
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements;
- Analyzing a variety of internal and external data sources;
- Treat and analyze data using statistics / machine-learning techniques;
- Search for new (open) data sources to enrich the database;
- Vulgarize AI technologies for the benefit of the team;
- Keep abreast of technology trends and developments.

- Express yourself fluently in Dutch or French and English.
- An academic master’s degree with a focus on math/statistics/econometrics/computer science (preferably with specific attention for machine learning and/or artificial intelligence);
- Knowledge in the following areas is a must: GLM, Machine-learning techniques - Tools such as Phyton; R; Excel
- Proven knowledge of and experience with statistics and/or machine learning;
- Knowledge in the following areas is nice to have: Business Intelligence (Qlik Sense), Agile principles, Scrum & Kanban methods, Odoo (Project Management, Ticketing…)
