What does this job entail?
Regulatory reporting is a crucial activity for financial institutions. With it we show regulators that our activities are compliant with regulations. As a Data Analyst you contribute to this by taking care of the source data.
Based on a functional/technical mapping you collect, transform and load source data into our data model for regulatory reporting. Your focus is on the following areas: retail & corporate loans, reconciliation, FINREP and COREP.
You will join an international team and work according to the Scaled Agile Framework: teams work together as part of an Agile Release Train in a 3-monthly cadence to deliver the required software, development- and testing processes, frameworks and standards, integration patterns and security aspects.
What do we expect from you?
- Based on the business needs for the market domain, you create functional mappings for source systems to our data model.
- You create, validate and test data transformations in different layers of our data model.
- You analyze, verify and validate data quality rules.
- You provide functional support to local data providers and users.
- You analyze the causes of bugs and problems in mappings.
Your key strengths?
- You have knowledge of and experience in the field of financial products. If you are also familiar with regulatory reporting, that is a plus.
- You are strong in analyzing data processes and flows. Your analytical skills help you find solutions to problems.
- You have good basic data engineering skills. You have good knowledge of SQL and data model concepts.
- You look forward to interacting with many different people in an international setting.
- When there is time pressure or a situation suddenly changes, you keep your cool.
- You speak and write English at a professional level.
