Role Overview
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be working on client specific Business Intelligence and Data Reporting projects and will be expected to:
- Understand the client’s data architecture and use different technical skills and variety of tools to analyze and model the data for generating actionable insights from a variety of client data sources.
- Work through ambiguous client situations to provide a structured approach to resolve client’s business issues
- Develop strategy, solve business problems and provide recommendations on how to improve business operations and customer experiences, while working closely with stakeholders on structured as well as unstructured data.
- Develop and present interactive data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights and trends to business stakeholders.
- Ensure that the data being used for analysis is of high quality, is properly cleaned, and is secure.
- Stay current with the latest advances in data science and related technologies to ensure that the organization remains competitive.
- Lead and mentor junior data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Role and Responsibilities: - Project Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and design appropriate solutions using data science techniques.
- Develop and implement machine learning models for predictive analytics, recommendation systems, and anomaly detection.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and apply statistical analysis to generate insights and inform business decisions.
- Create interactive data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights and trends to business stakeholders.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and integrate data from various sources.
- Be responsible for smooth project operations – overall project quality.
- Client Interaction and Management
- Understand the client objective and support delivery leads in managing client expectations on projects along with the Account Manager
- Work with project manager and client to scope and deliver on projects
- As part of a larger team, align requirements on different work streams and tasks assigned by the client
- Support in client calls wherever required.
- Other Initiatives
- Participate in organization-improvement initiatives and activities such as knowledge management
- Conduct skill-based internal training sessions.
- Help the organization in scaling up by actively participating in recruitment drives at the office premises or on campus
REQUIREMENTS: - Must-have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with 7 to 10 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of domains such as Retail, Sales, and Operational Analytics.
- Hands-on experience with statistical languages, such as R, Python, and SQL, to transform data and draw insights from large datasets.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks, such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and Keras.
- Expertise in Descriptive and Predictive Analytics, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, clustering, forecasting, statistical tests, and time series analysis.
- Data munging skills and the ability to work with different structured and unstructured data sources.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and SQL, and knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, query optimization, workflow creation, and API integration.
- Ability to work with Relational and Cloud Databases.
- Advanced skills in Power BI, Power BI Query (M-based), DAX, Excel, and SQL.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex data science concepts into business insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.
- Excellent client presence and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
- Preferred Qualifications / Good-to-have :
- PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience with natural language processing and text analytics.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
