Job description
The purpose of the role and your unique contribution to this financial services company is to further develop and enhance our client's Data Lake, Cloud Data Warehouses and streaming capabilities.
You will use your knowledge and expertise to build Data Platforms in a cloud environment that are aligned to the data strategy and that enable and enhance our data products, providing acceleration and outcome assurance to stakeholders.
Your new role:
- Maintain and operate our client's Data Lake.
- Develop high-quality scalable Data Platforms based on their designated cloud platform in line with the domain/product/feature roadmap.
- Design and develop modernized data pipelines for customers, colleagues, and partners, that are more secure, robust, and scalable than ever before.
- Collaborate with Data SME's to build self-service capability through delivery of consistent, re-usable, and fit for purpose data interfaces/APIs.
- Contribute to the maintenance of Confluent Kafka environments including VM and Kubernetes based deployments in a cloud environment.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Experience developing highly-scalable Cloud Data Platforms.
- Experience on any Cloud Platform (AWS, GCP or Azure).
- Experience with Apache Spark.
