Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to support the Global Supplier Diversity Program. This person will be the primary POC for all Small Business data reporting and strategic drivers for the sector. This position is open across the country in Baltimore, Linthicum, Huntsville, Charlottesville, Rolling Meadows, and San Diego or can be remote.
Responsible for processes and activities within supply chain related operations and/or compliance such as regulatory compliance, systems and technology, data analytics and performance, international supply chain, operational excellence and supply base diversity. Manages, develops or supports strategic direction and tactical execution of governance (policy, procedure, processes, etc.), priorities, initiatives and related activities.
- Basic Requirements for a Band 4:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain, business mgmt, catergory mgmt or communications or 8+ years with Masters degree supply chain, business mgmt, catergory mgmt or communications
- Solid foundation in programming principles
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel User
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Roles and Responsibilities: - Responsible for data compilation in support of Statutory Small Business Reporting (ISRs and SSRs). Maintains reporting tools, files, databases and corresponding logs
- Utilize and compile data from various systems/repositories (SAP, BW, DW, Cost Point) to meet internal/external reporting needs
- Utilize various toolsets for data mining/data analysis (Visual Basic, SQL, Python, etc.)
- Manages workloads, deadline requirements, and dedicated resources to meet the needs of internal/external customers with respect to reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc data requests
- Produces monthly small business performance metrics by contract to internal NGMS customer
- Produces monthly small business performance metrics by commodity to Category Management organization
- Produces monthly small business performance metrics by Division/Site to Division leads
- Produces quarterly small business performance report by sector
- Works with database administrators throughout the organization to ensure data integrity and consistency while developing efficiencies as appropriate
- Explore/Develop new technologies or approaches to data analysis to improve operational efficiency of processes (Tableau, HANA, Alteryx, etc.)
- Assists in compliance reviews with the Small Business Administration, DCMA, Internal/External Audit, and other oversight agencies as required
- Contributes to data management internal projects as well as the upgrading of standards and best practice guidelines
- Represent MS GSDP in enterprise-wide efforts to improve SB reporting: assist in translating the business needs of GSDP into technical requirements
- Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations; may develop and deliver presentations
- Knowledge of SQL or other programming languages (i.e., Python) a plus
- Experience compiling data using Visual Basic
Salary Range: $94,500 USD - $155,900 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
