One of the largest entertainment and media conglomerates in the world is looking to hire a
Analytics & Insights Data Engineer for a 12 month contract.
The role can be remote based out of the following US cities:
- Burbank, CA
- Seattle, WA
- Orlando, FL
Required:
- Must have expert experience with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake and Databricks.
- Must have an architecture background.
- Must have additional skills and knowledge in data security and understand policies and standards for keeping data secure.
The role of the Analytics & Insights, Engineer will support Enterprise Technology by developing and delivering analytics and solutions that expose ‘actionable insights’, modernize the way we consume data, and make data driven conversations the norm.
Using an array of tools and experience with relational databases, the Analytics & Insights, Engineer will exhibit full knowledge and expertise and support their leader in the establishment of a Data Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE), making both data and context accessible through live connections, scheduled subscriptions, and mobile friendly dashboards.
Additionally, the engineer will act as the primary resource building out data integrations and managing pipelines.
Responsibilities of role:
- The data engineer will build systems for data collection, preparing high quality data.
- Engineer is responsible for maintaining infrastructure that supports data storage, processing and retrieval.
- The engineer will gather and assess consumer requirements for proper and or best fit solutions.
- The engineer must be proficient at joining data from multiple sources to produce the desired outcome, whether for management reporting, Executive dashboards, or KPIs
- The engineer must be capable of working with members of the Management staff to collect clear requirements.
- This candidate will recognize opportunities to influence the product outcome to provide the greatest value to the sponsor and the organization.
- The candidate must be able and willing to prioritize their work to suit organizational needs.
- Defines and documents relevant process improvement opportunities.
- Use complex tools/programs to mine data sources.
- Apply data engineering skills to develop more advanced solutions that drive action in the business.

Basic Qualifications
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years' experience working within Information Technology
- Familiarity with Automation technologies
- Experience writing complex scripts using SQL or Python are a must
- Strong familiarity with Service Management domains and processes
- Proven experience with Business Intelligence techniques and tools – Tableau Server, Service-Now and Business Objects are a must
