We have an opportunity for a Data Engineer Lead to join our team. This Data Engineer lead will manage the E2E data flow of our digital eco system assets, and assure that all data is available in a simplistic views so that it can be interpreted for our Data Science and Business Analyst teams.
The responsibilities for this role include:
- Deliver digital innovation which provides the Health Division with sustained growth and sustained competitive advantage.
- Understand and use data to drive fact-based category decisions.
- Lead digitisation of the Wesfarmers Health Customer Core
- Set and adhere to timelines for all data engineering requests and projects and ensure that processes and documentation are in place
- Actively contribute to customer personalisation via data management and machine learning techniques
- Working with the customer analytics team, providing information to support the research, visualisation and insights to enhance and expedite the development of customer journeys and experiences
- Support the management and maintenance of the enterprise end-to-end technical foundation and digital assets to support the data commercialisation strategy.
- Work collaboratively with the Customer Data Analysts to provide the required information, enabling them to draw meaningful and actionable insights
Our ideal candidate would have the following experience/attributes:
- 5 years' experience in business intelligence, data warehouse and digital asset management (pending team / role requirement)
- Knowledge and understanding of data integration, normalisation, and dimensional data modelling as well as schema design techniques
- Understanding of DBMS technologies
- The Ability to influence a number of different stakeholders within the Health Division
- Ability to understand, organise and communicate complex ideas and patterns in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences
- Communicate and influence without authority, moving a cross-functional team toward a common vision or goal
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to change tact to suit an audience / situation
- Lead continuous improvement activities and encourage team members to identify ineffective processes and contribute to new ideas and ways of working.
Education/Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification (Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics) Highly desirable
