ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be customer-oriented, and provide data and support to business partners as necessary
- Interact with stakeholders to analyze, explain, design, and develop new data services and capabilities supporting the enable business to take data-driven decisions.
- Work in dynamic self-organized agile teams to develop high-quality solutions using the best technology stack, design, and architecture.
- Define and evolve data ingestion, data movement, data access, MDM, and data visualization strategies
- Tune SQL and databases to improve performance and actively remove technical debt from the data systems
- Lead the development of certified Data Models and Data Sources, utilizing internal and external data (APIs)
- Participate in designing and implementing RESTful services and microservices.
- Assist in developing data services deployment practices such as Azure Data Factories and Azure CI/CD pipelines, including development, governance, and maintenance.
- Propose and roll out improvements to culture, process, tools, technology, and architecture.
- Invent ways to answer key business questions by leveraging existing data assets or assisting in creating new ones
QUALIFICATIONS

- Expertise in developing reports in Power BI and administrating the Power BI workspaces, permissions, and datasets
- Advanced level of SQL programming, and database and SQL performance tuning
- Experience in data ingestion, data services, and data catalog
- Experience with Azure Data Analytics Architecture preferred
- Experience with ETL tools such as Pentaho, KNIME preferred
- Experience working with data sourced from REST and/or SOAP APIs preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
- Knowledge in NO-SQL databases or unstructured data is nice to have.
- Intermediate knowledge of R or Python preferred
- Can both work collaboratively with teams and excels being a contributor
- Development background with experience in backend/front-end development experience
- Hands-on experience in REST and SOAP web service implementation
- High level of business acumen with a clear understanding of how data and information support business objectives
- Process focused, has a continuous improvement mindset, and driven to self-learning
- Ability to maintain focus, accuracy, and composure during high-expectation / high-pressure situations
- Proven ability to work across all functions and levels of the organization to improve financial and/or operational results
- Ability to influence decisions and actions of others without reporting authority

- Comfortable challenging business partners in a constructive way, including members of the Executive Management Team
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Business Field with emphasis in Information Technology
- Advanced degree is preferred
- Retail experience is preferred
