This position of Pricing & Data Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that R3 National Accounts meets and exceeds its revenue goals. Pricing & Data Analysts are responsible for all pricing, RFP, and contracting requests for all TCM (Total Category Management) strategic customers. Pricing & Data Analysts are required to become SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) on all things pricing and market related. Ability to learn quickly about products and attributes forever increasing knowledge of the many thousands of products we source. Candidates will be required to have an analytical mind and background along with advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience, as these skills will translate to future efficiencies.


  • You will proactively ask questions and challenge pre-existing norms. Understand why partners or customer object to changing pricing and determine how to help them.
  • Collaborate with peers to formulate more efficient SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Communicate with vendors/Suppliers to efficiently operationalize pricing methodologies
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with National Accounts, Local Branches, IT, marketing and Corporate
  • Possess the willingness and ability to get beyond the obvious causes of outliers and poor performance, and investigate, identify, and correct the underlying root causes.
  • Foster change within the organizations and be able to “influence without authority”.
  • Present a compelling case to others, whether in one-on-one conversations or in group settings.
  • Craft models that estimate likely outcomes and calculate the potential ramifications of various actions (e.g. margin rates, margin dollars, revenues, unit volumes, etc.)
  • You should have hands-on knowledge of data management and database architectures along with a confirmed understanding of data visualization techniques. You can help others better understand and interpret what the data is saying and to aid in the investigative or diagnostic process.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of cost components and the ability to analyze and present findings
  • Drive revenue growth for the company by completing RFP and contract requests
  • Data Mining multiple sources and formats to identify market pricing and develop best in class pricing strategies customers
  • Participate in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with R3’s values and ethical standards


  • Bachelor's degree in a business or related field
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in pricing and/or contact management inside/outside
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and AS400
  • Minimum (1) year of experience with Business Intelligence or Data base software.
  • Experience with cross-functional project management
  • Operational experience in a fast-paced working environment
  • Experience with data mining and pivot tables
  • Ability to multitask and excel through daily interruptions
  • Self-starter who can prioritize projects effectively
  • Detail oriented and thorough
  • Cross-functional leadership skills
  • Efficient problem-solving attributes and perseverance during high workload volumes
