Job description
Zachary Piper Companies is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to support a large Healthcare Technology company on a remote basis The Principal Data Engineer will play an integral part on the cloud data engineering team and be responsible for implementing the database and DWH integrations solution to the enterprises SaaS application.
Responsibilities of the Principal Data Engineer include:
- Manage the technical design, building and testing of cloud data services
- Identify and implement internal process improvements: automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, re-design infrastructure etc.
- Complete design, code review, and test case reviews.
- Maintain ETL/Data integration agile management stories
- Provide mentorship to the development team and engage in coding practices
Qualifications for the Principal Data Engineer include:
- 10+ years of experience in a data engineering lead role or similar
- Strong knowledge of various warehousing principals, database structures and SQL across different platforms in enterprise sources
- Knowledge of Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, data replication, streaming, virtualization preferred
- Technical experience utilizing Azure services: Serverless Architecture, Azure Storage, Azure SQL DB/DW, Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, Synapse Analytics, HDInsight, Databricks, Cosmos DB, ML Studio, AI/ML, Azure Functions, ARM Templates, Azure DevOps, CI/CD etc..
- Ability to write and implement complex SQL
- Healthcare or Financial services experience preferred
- B.S in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Compensation for the Principal Data Engineer include:
- Salary Range: $180,000 - $190,000 **depending on experience**
