So what?
We are on the hunt for a talented Junior Data Analyst to join our analytics team within BizCover who are responsible for using data to provide actionable insights that generate tangible, measurable value to the business.

Each analyst in the team owns a lane (department) and is responsible for working with business stakeholders in that lane to deliver value. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will provide assistance to the Channel & Partner, Insurer Product, Claims and Exco Lanes and will also assist the in projects across the analytics team. This role offers the opportunity for you to grow and develop your skills quickly, and to gain experience in key areas which drive growth in the business.

What you'll be doing?

• Maintaining existing PowerBI and Excel reports/dashboards
• Developing new dashboards
• Providing ad hoc data extracts
• Helping business stakeholders interpret data to enable them to derive meaningful, valuable insights

Who we want?

• Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline (Actuarial, Commerce, Statistics, Finance, etc.)
• 1-3 years working experience is advantageous but strong graduates will also be considered
• Ability to extract and manipulate data using SQL and MS Excel
• R/Python is not essential but is desirable
• Strong reporting skills - Visualization, Dashboard and Story Telling
• Experience, understanding and keen interest of data analytics and/or data science
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Innovative
• Able to work with different people in the business (both technical and non-technical) and communicate effectively with them
• Results focused
• Good time management skills
• Able to work independently or in a team
• Experience or knowledge of financial services, particularly insurance, is advantageous
