We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Data Analyst to lead the development and administration of the Department’s asset management software and data systems. In this role, you will play a key part in driving decision-making processes by enhancing the automation and interoperability of heavy vehicle management and structures asset management systems. Your work will directly contribute to improved asset management, increased efficiencies, and productivity.
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or a dual Degree in Information Technology with Mathematics (AQF 7 or higher).
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake), ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx, Matillion), SQL, Python, RESTful web APIs, and GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Engineering Knowledge: Working knowledge of engineering concepts related to static load application, structural modeling, and analysis, with the ability to develop automation for structural assessments.
- Experience: At least five years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a similar role, with a strong background in cloud-based analytics, programming languages, and data visualization tools.
- Industry Experience: Previous professional experience in road infrastructure transport technology projects is highly desirable.
