Applied Training Systems, Inc. (ATSI) is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to guide the next phase of growth with our company’s brands and product portfolio. The ideal candidate for this critical position will have a deep track record designing and managing enterprise data warehouses and experience translating stakeholder feedback into enterprise solutions.

This position reports to the Director, Business Intelligence and will collaborate extensively with Product and Engineering teams across the ATSI portfolio (Recruiterbox, Reviewsnap, Trakstar, and Mindflash).

What you’ll do:
Design and architect our Extract/Load/Transform (ELT) and Enterprise Data Warehouse implementation
Optimize and aggregate raw data into consumable formats for downstream multi-client embedded dashboard analytics
Work cross-functionally across the entire organization to advance our data strategy and foster data literacy
Monitor and maintain production data pipelines
Ensure transformed data meets established quality standards through the creation of automated tests to ensure reliable, timely, and accurate data
Ensure our systems are resilient and highly scalable
Respond to production emergencies with a steady, thoughtful, detail-focused mindset, providing transparency and frequent communication on status of remediation
You’re best for this role if you:
Possess expert knowledge of cloud data warehouse design principles, data lake design, and first-hand experience implementing end-to-end ELT supporting Business Intelligence initiatives
Have expert level SQL and Python skills
Have experience using data orchestration tools such as Airflow, PySpark and dbt
Possess demonstrated experience working with AWS services such as Glue, Redshift, RDS (Postgres/MySQL), S3, and QuickSight
Have strong proficiency working with scripting languages and understanding of common web application design frameworks
Can prioritize and present database improvement plans with clear, user-friendly language
Have experience delivering analytic solutions in a SaaS software company
Your qualifications:
5+ years of experience successfully delivering data engineering solutions that support business critical analytic solutions
Strong problem solver and collaborator with a track record of getting big things done
Self-starter with the ability to think and operate enterprise-wide in order to implement holistic systems and solutions supporting critical business needs
History of leading and influencing across technical and non-technical audiences
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Experience working with a US-based company preferred
AWS Certification is a plus
