Job Description:

• You will be working as an individual contributor within the research & innovation group.
• You should have significant exposure in Python (data manipulation, scientific computing, applied statistics, machine learning, and data visualization) and MySQL
• You will work with wide variety of Visible Alpha’s commercial as well as operational datasets on both internal and client-facing projects. You will partner with stakeholders across the organization, build data analytics tools for the organization and communicate findings to diverse audiences.
• You will work on all parts of the data science workflow; exploratory analysis of new datasets, create/monitor KPIs and build dashboards for the organization, build predictive models and work with engineers for deployment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a data science/analytics/engineering team, work experience in an end-to-end data project with deliverables is desirable.
• Good Communication skills and experience in presenting findings.
• Familiarity with financial datasets, equities market, and fundamental research is a plus.
• Advanced degree in a computational field and/or independent research experience as a data scientist is preferred
