Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer with 3+ years of total work experience and solid work expertise covering the core job requirements listed below. The ideal candidate should have solid T-SQL experience and be proficient with Microsoft SQL Server database technologies. You will be a crucial member of our Data Team, helping drive data solutions for new and existing products while working in an Agile Scrum environment. If you love logic puzzles and troubleshooting complex problems, then you’ll fit right in on our Data Team. Location

This position is located in the York, PA area. The ideal candidate will be within commuting distance, or willing to re-locate.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, tune, and implement database objects and any supporting T-SQL scripts using Microsoft SQL Server. This includes but is not limited to stored procedures, views, functions, data manipulation scripts and ETL.

• Analyze and document client data structures

• Develop and execute ETL solutions to migrate data between disparate applications

• Provide ad-hoc query support

• Analyze source data for potential data quality issues and address those issues

• Work with multiple teams, mentoring and assisting with data development needs

Minimum Requirements (Highly Proficient)

Must have a strong working knowledge with the following Microsoft Data-related technologies in an Agile environment:

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server

• Ability to understand and compose complex queries

• Experienced in writing, editing, and tuning stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views

• Understanding of database schema design

• Experienced in data analysis

• Understanding of relational data models

• Experience interpreting SQL Server execution plans and performance tuning queries

• Experience with ETL processes

• Insatiable hunger for problem solving

• Complete and Pass a Background Check

Experience Bonus Points

The following technologies, while not required, are strongly desired:

• Experience with Oracle Database Technologies

• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

• Background with SQL Server installation and maintenance processes
