Data Scientist Internship (m/f/x)

We are the fastest growing marketplace for refurbished electronics in the German-speaking region and are based in Vienna. Through our marketplace, completely renewed electronics like phones, laptops and tablets that are 40% cheaper and 100% more sustainable are sold to consumers.

We founded the company in February 2017 and grew to more than 100 employees in less than three years and expanded to Italy, Poland and further European countries already. Along the way we won several awards, completed two large funding rounds and have already sold hundreds of thousands of products, which makes us one of the fastest growing startups in Europe right now. Our team has extensive international experience in the refurbishment industry, how to create a brand and how to scale a marketplace.

We are now hiring a smart graduate / young professional to work very closely with data science team to support developing anomaly detection algorithm, dynamic pricing, recommendation engine and research proposal writing.

Together with you we want to build the leading marketplace for refurbished electronics in Europe.

• You have post-graduate qualifications in STEM fields (e.g. data science, analytics, statistics, operations research etc.)
• You have strong Python coding skills
• You love to work with data
• Your English skills are close to those of a native speaker
• You work independently and goal oriented
• You are a creative problem solver with strong analytical and statistic skills
• You are very curious and want to understand what the data tells you
• You want to grow fast and take on responsibility
• You don’t use the term “That doesn’t work”
• You care about the world and want to spend your time making a difference

• You work very closely with the analytics and data science team
• You support developing anomaly detection model
• You support finding insight
• You work on preparing data and implementing the machine learning models

• You have experience in data modelling (e.g. internship projects, university projects)

For legal matters, we state that the minimum wage for this position is €23,800 gross per year. However, depending on your qualification, a higher salary obviously is very likely.
