Data Scientist

Data Scientist | Contract | 3 months | Fully Remote | Outside IR35

My client, a leading global sportswear manufacturer requires a Data Scientist to help them understand consumer features, interactions & behaviours on their .com website.

Role Responsibilities:

• Consult global personalisation & market consumer journey optimisation team to define clear objectives and formulate data science a problem statement

• Identify and create relevant features in alignment with the business hypothesis for training classification models

• Train & deploy ML models on AWS big data platform to identify visitors (consumers on .com) who are likely to enrol in the membership program

• Identify features that drive visitors to sign-up for the membership program through feature interpretability of ML models

• Iterate with business stakeholders to deliver a list of data driven business hypothesis for personalisation opportunities focused on acquisition

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in a digital and/or eCommerce environment in data science

• Excellent coding skills using common data science tool kits including Python

• Excellent knowledge in applied statistics, distributions, statistical testing, data mining, feature engineering, model interpretability, machine learning & deep learning models

• Experience in working with Clickstream data and cloud platform (AWS preferred)
