Data Steward

• $1000 including Super per day

• ASAP - 6 months with potential to convert to Permanent

• Working within large telecommunications company

• SQL, Informatica, DQ, Domain Data, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Master Data Management

Your Role:

You will be focusing on delivering data-driven digital products.

You will develop the culture, vision, and strategy, to manage data as an enterprise asset whilst collaborating with key stakeholders within IT and the Data Office.

You will support business owners to understand, manage, locate, and define, their data and its quality, and to meet their data responsibilities to a range of internal and external data standards.

Your Duties:

• You will proactively manage risk, meeting policy and compliance requirements
• You will lead in the stewardship team in the partnering, engagement, and stewardship skills they need to make data stewards effective
• You will assist with escalations from events, issues or breaches related to Domain data
• You will provide advice for and monitors DQ reporting and leads DQ issue resolution and profiling where required.
• You will collaborate across a range of business data users, process owners, systems owners, and data creators to help achieve the objectives of the business function they support
• You will co-ordinate data issues, and ensure they are prioritised, and actioned
• You will ensure data is defined and catalogued, and where critical has clear data lineage, and a business data owner who approves its use, definition, and quality requirements
• You will support the Domain owner set common data standards, definitions, and quality requirements

Your preferred skills and experience:

• Bachelors' qualification in related field
• 2 + year experience leading or supervising direct or indirect teams
• 5 + years' experience in a domain data role specifically working with domain Data
• 7+ years' experience in data analysis, reporting and business intelligence
• Significant experience in managing lifecycle processes, or data value chains
• Understanding of master data management data platform, associated processes, and capabilities
• Clear understanding of the Data Management maturity models and different data management practices /disciplines (including data architecture, master data mgmt. DQ, governance)
• Stakeholder management skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience in enterprise governance or business data, or active stewardship
