The Business Data Analyst is responsible for identifying business intelligence requirements and producing a variety of reports to support data driven business decisions.

The Business Data Analyst works closely with teams across the division to determine reporting requirements, develop ad-hoc and ongoing reports that measure business processes and deliver insights to a large division providing income assistance services to British Columbians. Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Education and Experience:

• Degree in business administration, data analytics, information management, or related field (social sciences, natural sciences and/or communications) and 1 year related* experience; OR
• Diploma in business administration, data analytics, information management, or related field (social sciences, natural sciences and/or communications) and 2 years related* experience; OR
• Certificate in business administration, data analytics, information management, or related field (social sciences, natural sciences and/or communications) and 3 years related* experience; OR
• Secondary school graduation or equivalent and 4 years related* experience.
  
  
  • Related experience must include:

• Experience manipulating complex datasets, creating data visualizations and with data storytelling.
• Experience confirming business requirements, creating reports and synthesizing data into meaningful insights.
  
  Preference may be given to those with:

• Experience working with database structures, design tools or query languages.
