About This Opportunity
You will be working as Senior Data Engineer on the Global Data and Analytics team. The team develops cloud-native data analytics/machine learning solutions in the field of orthodontics utilizing cutting edge technology.
Our data products help analyze clinical data, predict clinical and manufacturing issues, forecast financial and sales metrics, detect and predict negative customer feedback.
Technology stack we are working with includes AWS, Databricks Delta Lakehouse, Python 3+, open-source Python libraries for data wrangling and analysis, statistical calculations, and machine learning.
In this role, you will…
- Work together with Data Scientists on development of ML based solutions
- Develop cloud-native data pipelines for Align Data platform
- Work with other development teams on integrating our data products with external solutions
- Develop ML Ops infrastructure (versions tracking, CI/CD, monitoring) for ML solutions
- Mentor other team members on software development best practices
- Participate in solution architecture design of ML products
- Cover created solutions with unit-tests and write technical documentation
In this role, you’ll need to have…
- Bachelor or a master’s degree in computer science or related
- 8+ years of professional experience developing software
- Excellent knowledge of Python 3 development
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Working experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, SQS, Lambda)
- Knowledge and experience of application of CI/CD best practices
- Solid working experience with Git, Docker
- System thinking skills
- Nice to have: experience with Apache Spark (pySpark), understanding web-security principles (SSO, OAuth2), understanding Data Warehousing architecture & principles, experience with building ETL\ELT data pipelines
