Responsibilities:
- Assess current data/business practices and identify new data science driven solutions
- Raise awareness firm-wide and advise on new data solutions
- Work closely with the data team to deploy machine learning models
- Design data tools to improve processes and efficiency
- Develop Proof of Concepts
- Ensure newly developed tools, models and solutions are compliant with business standards
- Work closely with both business and IT stakeholders at all levels
- Any ad-hoc projects and duties as required
Key player in firm's data transformation journey|Well funded in high-performing team
Requirements:
- At minimum, Bachelor's degree preferably Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or any relevant technical degree; Master's or PhD degree in data science is a definite plus
- 9+ years of working experience, with the last few years in a hands-on data science position
- Previous work experience in a bank is highly preferred, but not a must
- Strong proficiency in Python in PyData stack
- Experienced in Machine Learning model development, feature engineering, statistical techniques, data visualisation and etc.
- Proactive and team-driven candidate who is passionate about Data Science
- Excellent communication skills in English is a must; Cantonese is a definite plus

As such, they are looking for a hands-on Data Scientist who is strong in Python and modelling techniques to help bring the company to a new generation. Excellent command in both Cantonese and English is preferred, English-speaking only may be considered.
