Position Overview

The Senior Data Analyst will primarily be responsible for helping Piano clients get the most of their data — looking into trends and benchmarks on revenues, conversions, and user behavior over detailed and summarized data to produce actionable insights for our customers. The senior analyst will also help Piano clients get maximum value from Piano’s analytics solutions and be involved in longer-term research projects and market research conducted on behalf of clients.


  • Analyze client data to optimize their digital business
  • Conduct benchmark studies and gather industry knowledge
  • Prepare reports for existing and potential customers
  • Master Piano’s client-facing analytics products and backend databases
  • Cooperate on consulting projects to create digital business models
  • Explain findings to clients (in both Spanish and English)
  • Analyze market research surveys for clients and present findings


  • Minimum 5 years experience in data analysis
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in SaaS, e-Commerce, or data analytics
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Proven track record writing complex SQL
  • Experience in multi-dimensional analysis
  • Ability to work independently in a self-organizing team
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong communication & presentation skills (in both Spanish and English)
  • Preference for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel

Advantages (nice skills to have):

  • Experience using R and/or Python for data analysis
  • Insight into customer segmentation and behavioral analysis is a strong plus
  • Experience with relational databases like Google BigQuery or Snowflake
  • Experience with any Business Intelligence (BI) toolset or SaaS reporting tool like Google Analytics, Omniture, Tableau, Looker or Mode
  • Experience leading a team/managing
  • Experience in the media industry, e-Commerce, or related
