We are looking for a passionate Data Scientist for being part of our Data Strategy Team.

As part of this team, she/he will work closely with multiple interlocutors from technical (Data Strategy, IT) to Business roles (Business Units) and provide solutions to business needs through data. The main role will be developing any kind of analytical solutions (descriptive, predictive and prescriptive) for decision making based on data and insights.

  • Actively collaborate and develop Advanced Analytics and Data Science projects. Data analysis and interpretation. Turning data into information and information into valuable insights by using advanced data analytics. On cloud environments, data preparation, data modeling and industrialization.

  • Explore and asses many different analytical and technical solutions. Being able to evaluate their performance and their value to our stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of relevant scripting languages (such as Python) and the role of notebook environments for sharing findings and code with others.

  • Broad knowledge of probability, statistics and Machine Learning Algorithms.

  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and the role it plays in data analysis.

  • Being able to explore many different and complex data sources to identify what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, leveraging new data collection processes. Ability to assess data quality and evaluate its usability.

  • Knowledge in the usage of BI tools. Definition of visualizations, reports and dashboards. Presenting actionable insights to teams across business units.

  • Business storytelling and communicating data insights in business consumable format.

  • Automation and process optimization. Analyze processes, identifying the inefficiencies and provide and develop automation solutions.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required

5 years of experience in Data related positions. Experience in developing, evaluating, industrializing and communicating Advance Analytics and Data Science projects.

Background in Business Analytics/Business Intelligence is welcome.

Proficient in English

  • Proficient technical and analytical skills:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or another related field.
  • Experience on Advance Analytics and Data Science projects.
  • Theoretical knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms and hands-on experience implementing Machine Learning models in on cloud platforms.
  • Programming (Phython , SAS, Spark, R, etc).
  • Database exploitation languages and tools. Querying. (SQL: Oracle, Redshift, etc.).
  • Expert in Data cleaning and validation.
  • Visualization tools (such as Spotfire, QlikSense, Tableau, etc.). Data presentation and reporting.

  • Personal skills:

  • Communicating skills: ability to effectively share results of analytical insights with different audiences: from technical roles to business stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate, network and build strong relations with team members and stakeholders
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills: being able to understand the business units needs and collaborate in the definition of analytical solutions to facilitate the decision-making process in a proactive way.
  • Learning-oriented skills: willing to acquire knowledge on new things specially with regards to new technology, programming languages, processes, business strategy, goals and purposes.
