We are currently looking for Data Scientist - Optimization for our office in Gothenburg, Sweden to work with improving our existing optimization solutions and take part in innovating new solutions to meet existing and future problems. We follow the SAFe framework and ship code to our clients every 6th week.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new features requested by our clients and/or our portfolio
  • Analyze and improve existing code to improve performance and value
  • Work with mathematical modelling and algorithmic development
  • Assist customer projects and help them tune the optimizer to meet its maximum
  • Innovate, research and come with ideas for how to take our products to the next generation
  • Test, support and maintain the solutions that the team has built

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Practical knowledge of C++
  • Practical Knowledge of Complex Combinatorial Optimization
  • Practical Knowledge of Python
  • Practical Knowledge of Linux and scripting
  • Knowledge of mathematical models

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
  • Experience with SaaS, Cloud based development
  • Networks and Multi server architectures
  • Knowledge on Machine Learning is nice to have

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Sweden. Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain legal authorization to work in Sweden for continued employment. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
