Your role


Do you have experience in data management and a drive to build innovative solutions from scratch? Are you interested in working in a young, growing team, responsible for end-to-end data management, modelling, and delivery? Then we are looking for you to:



  • design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to ensure accurate and secure data flow
  • monitor, optimise and troubleshoot the pipelines to identify and resolve performance issues
  • collaborate with our stakeholders: economists, quants and other risk professionals, to understand the business needs and deliver data models appropriate to the use case
  • collaborate with your colleagues: quants, data analysts, software developers and DevOps to build data solutions which bring value to our stakeholders
  • develop and maintain documentation of the implemented solutions
  • have an expert role, consulting on the projects from the industry best practice perspective
  • enhance our team with your expertise, to push ahead key projects within the Bank


Your team


You will be working in Scenario Data POD within Scenarios & Scenario Models Crew in Kraków, with members in the US, UK, Switzerland, Poland, and India. Our role is to facilitate the process of development of macro-economic and market scenarios used for firm-wide stress testing, by providing time series data, data analytics, metadata, models, and other data services. Our deliveries are key to regulators across the globe, used for accounting standards, and internal capital assessments and business planning.


Your expertise


Your expertise:



  • Master’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or similar
  • Proven experience in a Data Engineer or similar role
  • Experience with creating ETL pipelines, and dedicated tooling
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling and database design principles
  • Proficient in Python, Bash scripting and SQL
  • Creative mind, with a track record of bringing projects from ideation to implementation
  • A team-player, but able to work autonomously
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are welcome


Nice to have:



  • Experience with Git version control
  • Familiarity with Cloud services, such as Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with RDF data model and NoSQL, such as GraphQL, SPARQL
  • Familiarity with DevOps processes, CI/CD
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum
