Position Title* & Location : Master Data Analyst – Operations and Logistic Global, Durban

Position Purpose

The Master Data Analyst in the Business Applications ERP Services and Solutions global group adds value to CHEP’s SAP applications and to the business through their extensive specialist knowledge of SAP Critical Data Maintenance

The Master Data Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of SAP O&L Master Data, this includes but is not limited to Plant Data, Material Master, and Batch.

Scope :

Global support of all countries and locations utilizing SAP ERP

Major/Key Accountabilities :

• Constantly monitor and improve the effectiveness of the master data processes and documentation

• Understand and create well-documented and detailed specifications for changes

• Identify and implement value-adding effectiveness (“doing the right things”) and efficiency (“doing things right”) opportunities and seize quality improvement opportunities in systems and processes

• Understand configuration of, and logical and process dependencies and interrelationships

between distinct functional modules

• Share expert functional and technical knowledge, to maximize others’ competence in the function of SAP master data

Qualifications :

Essential Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAP OL master data

• Hands on experience with SAP plant configuration

• Experience in SAP material master creation and extension

• Experience in SAP batch creation and extension

• Ability to understand and updated related SOP

Desirable Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in computer science or information systems or related equivalent experience

• Ability to run SAP LSMWs

Experience :

• At least 2 years’ experience with SAP’s hands on maintaining SAP OL master data

• Working knowledge of SAP Rev Trac

• Experience with SAP Solution Manager

• Experience with Service Now

• Cross-SAP modules integration

• Global business reach desirable, including working remotely with globally scattered users and IS teams, including external partners

Skills and Knowledge :

• Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal, and the ability to present difficult concepts in understandable terms to all levels in the organization

• Highly developed analytical, problem solving, reasoning and assessment skills

• Demonstrated work planning and prioritization skills for a small group

• Microsoft Office tools, to advanced user level

• Ability to work unsupervised and assist new Interns with learning the master data processes and procedures
