Designs, evaluates, and tests data infrastructures. In charge of creating solutions that fits the needs of the business. As part of this, it is required to have current knowledge and continue to learn the applicable methods and tools the business provides to facilitate the ingestion of data to the credit union. A working knowledge of this process is key in order to develop solutions that fit the needs and within the parameters of the tools available.
Responsibilities:
Builds systems and infrastructures that collect and process data according to company needs and goals. Builds, evolves and scales out infrastructure to ingest, process and extract meaning out data. Designs, develops and implements statistical models to carry out various novel aspects of classification and information extraction from data.
Leverages existing data infrastructure to fulfill all data-related requests, perform necessary data housekeeping, data cleansing, normalization, hashing, and implementation of required data model changes. Analyzes data to spot anomalies, trends and correlate similar data sets. Designs, develops and implements natural language processing software modules.
Troubleshoots problems, identifies possible solutions, and resolves accordingly.
Work with business counterparts to define requirements for data desired to be provisioned updating defined requirement document templates in partnership with business counterpart. Work with the manager to transform business requirements into appropriate schema and data model.
Ensure design efficiency to minimize data refresh lags between systems to report timely data. Deploy data architectures based on the standards set by the manager which drive Suncoast's data strategy implementation and transform business strategies into information architectures.
Follow & execute on strong and measurable processes, tools and engineered data management solutions to support all data platforms – such as data warehouse, lakes, visualization tools, master data management, and advanced analytics tools.
Responsible for designing and developing ETL process for extracting data from multiple source systems, transforming the data into a usable fashion, and loading it into data platforms.
Daily tasks can include:
Use ADF/Databricks to transform data within the data warehouse.
Tune databases and ETL for maximum performance.
Data Profiling, Data Cleansing, and Data Auditing.
Loading large volumes of data.
Decoding and writing complex SQL queries.
Performance tuning of queries and data loading process.
Modeling normalized and de-normalized data structures.
Ensure best practices are established and built into Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintains knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting area of expertise. Attends educational events that will increase professional knowledge and be otherwise beneficial to the Credit Union. Completes annual BSA/AML Compliance Training and understands employee’s role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program, and completes FACT Act Red Flag training.
Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years of experience.
Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues/problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
Experience with the following tools:
Development Transact SQL Experience 5+ years.
Following Platforms Microsoft Sql Server, SSRS, SSAS.
Stored Procedure Creation.
Trigger definition and implementation.
Optimizing and Indexing.
Base knowledge views, table, and database ddl.
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 5+ years.
Experience making data usable to the end users.
Experience working in a complex data environment.
Active Development (not knowledge of):
Microsoft Azure: Portal and resource navigation.
Azure Data Factory: developing pipelines, pipeline activities, troubleshooting, etc.
Git Hub: Use in creating, updating and submitting code.
Agile Methodology: Kanban method of limiting work in progress.
Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines. Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized. Able to analyze and resolve difficult problems and situations.
Good knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures pertinent to the job.
Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.
Good knowledge and understanding of all Credit Union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties.
Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators. Able to influence others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
