About the role
SAP One Domain Model (ODM) provides a coherent enterprise data model with common semantics, used to exchange data between business applications of the intelligent suite and its ecosystem. This new enterprise data model covers not just a single solution but the entire set of applications making up SAP's Intelligent Enterprise. We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist, who will support the design and development of the mapping tool to enable internal and external customers to easily define mappings from SAP ODM to application-specific models.

As a member of our team, you will:

• Analyze the requirements, clarify open questions, and fully understand the details and boundary conditions of the new features that you will develop.
• Create design documents for new software features and review them with your scrum team.
• Develop according to the reviewed design and carry out developer tests.
• Test the new software and correct it during the internal test and during customer tests.
• Be a part of an endeavor moving the needle for SAP as a company.

Role requirements:

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in professional software development.
• Fluency in Java and knowledge of relevant frameworks and libraries like Spring Boot, Java Persistence API (JPA), Apache Lucene, Python.
• Familiarity with SAP cloud technologies and data architecture concepts.
• Experience in data and process integration and related functions, e.g. schema mapping.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, NLP, semantic web, and graph theory.
• The willingness to independently acquire and apply knowledge about new technologies.

Location

SAP is not offering international relocation benefits for this role currently. Only candidates who have legal authorization to Work in Portugal and are currently based in Portugal will be considered.
